The main news of the Donbas: Shyrokyne will be patrolled by the marines; A Russian Armed Forces officer was detained on the border

Border guards detained a “KAMAZ” truck full of ammunition at the checkpoint of “Berezove” (Donetsk region) at about 22:00 on July 25, according to the press service of the State Border Guard Service.

“There were 2 men inside the truck. They were in camouflage without identification signs. One of them said that he was a major of the Russian Armed Forces. The other one was a member of an illegal armed grouping which was confirmed by their papers. Inside there were a lot of boxes with ammunition”, as it was informed by Oleksandr Motuzyanyk, ATO spokesman of the Presidential Administration at a briefing of the Ukrainian Crisis Media Center today.

10-15 standing observation posts of the Special Monitoring OSCE Mission will be deployed on the demarcation line in the Donbas. The decision was made within the framework of the talks held by President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko, German Chancellor Angela Merkel, France's President Francois Hollande, and Russia's President Vladimir Putin.

Heorhiy Tuka, Head of Luhansk Military and Civil Administration, thinks that the local election must not be held in the Luhansk region on October 25. He explains that there are lots of separatists’ supporters among the residents of frontier territories. They have not been punished for their crimes yet.

Participants of the public hearings which took place on July 23 demanded resignation of Andriy Bilozerov who is Slovyansk Deputy Mayor on housing and utilities questions. He was accused of neglecting his duties and non-transparent distribution of budget money.

“Deputy Mayor withdrew himself from tariffs monitoring which led to a rise in utilities prices. This rise violated the Ukrainian Local Self-Government Act, said public activist Mykhailo Nechyporenko.
Press Service of the General Staff of the Ukrainian Armed Forces reports that Servicemen in Shyrokyne are to be replaced with the marines of the Naval Forces of the Ukrainian Army.

“The situation in Mariupol district is controlled by the ATO Headquarters. To enforce the units defending Mariupol, the marines of the Naval Forces of the Ukrainian Army are to take up duties there.”
