Main news of Donbas: Attacks on Ukrainian servicemen and proofs of Russian officers' illegal activity

Reports from the front

Pro-Russian militants' provocations in the ATO zone continue. There were 45 attacks on Ukrainian strongholds in the last 24 hours, a wide range of weapons was used. The press service of ATO Headquarters reports that there were no casualties among Ukrainian servicemen in the last 24 hours.

Hostilities increased on the South-West outskirts of Donetsk. Maryinka and Krasnohorivka vicinity was shelled.

The NGO “Fund. 101” informed, using the data provided by the State Border Sevice of Ukraine, that more than 4 million people crossed the demarcation line in the Anti-Terrorist Operation zone in 2015. At the same time, there are enormous queues consisting of those who want to get onto the territory which is controlled by the Ukrainian Government at Zaitseve and Maryinka entrance-exit checkpoints.

The Security Service of Ukraine (SSU) got evidence of illegal activities of Russian officers of the Joint Center for Control and Coordination. They participate and directly guide the training of militants’ gangs. This was claimed by SSU Chief  Vasyl Hrytsay.

Eleonore Polischuk, head of the Department of Social Protection of the Population reported that three thousand people were deprived of IDP status as there was no proof that they were living on the territory controlled by Ukraine.

News from the occupied territory


The number of flu and ARVI cases is growing rapidly on the occupied territory of the Donetsk region. According to the investigative information, about 175 thousand people, including 4000 children, consulted doctors during the perion from December 1, 2015 to February 1, 2016. ATO press service reported that according to the information which was given in Viktor Kuchkovsky, the so-called “DPR healthcare minister”, 542 people died of flu and flu-related complications due to shortage of medicines and absence of quick medical help.
