Situation at the front
ATO press service reports that there were 47 attacks on Ukrainian positions in the ATO zone in the last 24 hours. "Avdiivka remains the hottest and most dangerous spot in the direction of Donetsk. There were 6 mortar attacks on Ukrainian positions in the last 24 hours, and there were 3 tank attacks at 7 p.m.", informs the press service.
According to the reports of the OSCE monitors, the situation in the Donbas is deteriorating. Aleksander Hug, Deputy Chief of the ОSCE Special Monitoring Mission to Ukraine, said during his press conference in Kramatorsk that, according to the Mission's data, February was the worst month (since September). Hug also informed that Yasynuvata joint remains under the control of the illegal armed formations.
News from the territory controled by Ukrainian government
A Chevrolet car burnt down in Mariupol on March 10. The car belonged to Oleksiy Turchenko, a judge. The reason of the fire remains unknown.
Avdiivka (the Donetsk region) cable TV covers two thirds of the flats of the town. People are actively subscribing to the TV operator which offers a big number of Ukrainian channels. The information was presented by Oleksandr Bryhynets, Adviser to the Minister of Information Policy, during his visit to Avdiivka. “Cable TV supplunts T2 (digital TV) which broadcasts occupants’ and coolaborators' Donetsk channels. There is also good news for those who have cable TV. The work has started to launch broadcasting where in the past programmes from Donetsk were received”, the Minister adviser says.
News from the occupied territory
“DPR” grouping claims that 20 residential houses were damaged in Zaytseve after the night's shelling. The settlement is located in the so-called grey zone where positions of both Ukrainian Armed Forces and militants are located.
“DPR” grouping refused to hold a gradual exchange of prisoners-of-war according to “25 to 50” plan as it was proposed by Ukraine.
Hyper-market “Metro” in Donetsk was looted and then it turned into abandoned ruins.
Security Service of Ukraine has summoned Igor Plotnitskiy, head of illegal “LPR” grouping to an interrogation which will be held in the Security Service of Ukraine in Kyiv on March 17.
