Reports from the territory controlled by Ukraine

Krasnoarmiysk town council is going to insist on renaming the town into Pokrovsk. The Verkhovna Rada Committee together with Ukrainian Institute of National memory had decided upon the name “Hryshyne” as it is historically grounded. They did not approve of the variant with renaming the town into “Pokrovsk” as this name is widely used and has religious connotations. At the same time, Yuriy Tretyak, the town head, claims that “Pokrovsk” was supported by the majority of the town residents. Now the draft decision is being prepared for the town council session.

Donetsk filter station which suspended its work due to crossfire at 10 a.m. yesterday was not damaged. Still, water supply to Avdiivka and vicinity has not been restored yet.

“The problem is that brigades refuse to come to work as the station is being constantly fired at", says Pavlo Zhebrivsky, head of Donetsk regional military and civil administration.

“Today we are working together with Joint Coordination Centre and the OSCE and we are trying to ensure the OSCE presence there. This will guarantee some security for the workers and it will be possible to launch Donetsk filter station. It is situated on the territory which is controlled by militants”, said Zhebrivsky.

Reports from the occupied territory

2 residential houses were destroyed at night as a result of the shelling of the village of Zaitseve. The village is situated in the north of Horlivka and is controlled by the “DPR” faction. The information was presented by a source inside the “DPR” “law enforcers”. “Two residential houses were destroyed and several more were damaged”, said the report. The source also added that “the enemy was firing from two sides simultaneously”. Traditionally, the Ukrainian Armed Forces were accused.

“Luhansk Information Centre” informed that an offender who was carrying an F-1 grenade was threatening the customers of “Absolute” shop in Molodizhny block of occupied Luhansk. The offender was “calmed down and detained” by “law enforcers” and now the case is being investigated into. It is not reported of the criminal was an “LPR” member and where he had got the grenade from.

Militants claim that shooting crews of Russian TV channels got under fire in Zaitseve vicinity. In particular, according to the separatist news agency “DAN”,  there were crews of All-Russia State TV and Radio Broadcasting Company, 1st Channel, “Zvezda” and the Chinese Information Agency “Xinhua”. At the same time, ATO press service emphasises the fact that Ukrainian servicemen did not react to militants’ provocation and did not open fire all day.
