Millitants shelled Ukrainian positions 44 times. They opened fire from grenade launchers, large caliber machine guns, and small arms near Donetsk 38 times, according to the ATO press center.

During the last day, one Ukrainian serviceman perished and 10 were wounded in battles. The information was presented by Andriy Lysenko, PA spokesperson on ATO related issues.

Representtaives of the Red Cross Commette in Mariupol (the Donetsk region) gave 16 GPS navigators and 46 electric torches to the members of the rescue team of the State Emergency Service of Ukraine. The information was presented by the press service of the organization.

News from the occupied territory

Safety issues cannot justify a refusal to hold elections. Representatives of Special Districts of the Donetsk and Luhansk Regions continue insisting on the “local election” in the first six months of the year, says Denis Pushylin, who represents the “DPR” illegal faction.

Aleksandr Zakharchenko, head of the illegal “DPR” organization, announced that a new position of  “political director” is to be established in “DPR” government. The function of this person is to reiforce ideological work. The positios is to be occupied by  “DPR” militants who were invalid out of the army after being wounded.

The so-called mayor of occupied Donetsk Ihor Martynov confirmed the information about redundances at Donetsk metallurgical plant. He told separatists' newspaper “The Vecherniy Donetsk” about that.
