Main News of Donbas: “Solidary” Russians; Militants shelled medics; Papal nuncio in Donetsk

Reports from the front:

During the last 24 hours, illegal armed groupings opened fire against the ATO forces 44 times. Besides mortars of the calibers which are banned by the Minsk Agreements, militants employed guns again after a long interval, according to the ATO Headquarters press center.

Four Ukrainian militaries were wounded in the ATO zone in the Donbas. A medic volunteer was wounded during the shelling of Avdiivka. The information was presented by Andriy Lysenko, PA spokesperson on ATO related issues, at a briefing.

News from the territory which is controlled by the Ukrainian government:


The fare from the controlled territory of Ukraine to occupied Luhansk has risen several times. As it is impossible to get there directly, lots of people try to get there through Stanytsya Luhanska. However, seats in buses are limited and the number of them is not enough. That is why people have to pay exorbitant sums of money to illegal taxi drivers, according to “Donbas. Reality”.



Bill # 4301was registered by a group of Verkhovna Rada people’s deputies on indemnification for private accommodation destroyed or damaged during the ATO. The money should be paid out before 2017.

Unknown offenders threw litter on Shevchenko monument on the central square of Kramatorsk on March 26.

Slovyansk joined the Joint System of Local Petitions. The draft decision on the order of consideration of the petition by Slovyansk City Council has been published and is to be approved of in the near future.

News from the occupied territory:

Archbishop Claudio Gugerotti, Apostolic Nincio of Ukraine, visited occupied Donetsk. The rperesentative of the Pope conducted the Liturgy of the passion of Christ in the cathedral of Christ the King.









Gleb Kornilov who represents the “Fund of aid to Novorossia” informs that a monument to Aleksey Mozgovoy, a commander of one of  the “LPR” groupings, who was killed when his car was fired at, has nearly been finished. 



Dmitry Peskov, Russian president’s presser, said on TVC channel that there are no Russian troops on the occupied territory of the Donbas. However, there are Russian citizens who “want to express their solidarity” with the local population.
