Main News of Donbas: The situation in the ATO zone is getting deteriorating; harassment of believers on the occupied territory

Situation on the front

During the last 24 hours, militants have intensified the shelling of the ATO positions along the whole demarcation line. They shelled the Ukrainian positions 75 times, 59 times near Donetsk, 15 near Mariupol, 1 near Luhansk, according to the ATO Headquarters’ press center. Andrey Lysenko, PA spokesperson on ATO related issues, reports that two Ukrainian militaries perished and one was wounded.

On March 12, militants shelled the equipment and workers who were laying a gas pipeline to Maryinka and Krasnohorivka. The information was posted on Facebook by Yevhen Vilinskiy, first deputy head of Donetsk regional military and civil administration.

Kostyantynivka district council recognized Russia as an aggressor country. It happened after a lot of petitions had been submitted by political parties, as Donbas Public TV informs.


According to the UN report, believers of the Crimea and Donbas are persecuted. This information was presented by the Office of the United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights. The report covers the period of November 2015- February 2016.

Press service of Donetsk regional military and civil administration informs that a Donetsk athlete won the bronze medal in the European Wrestling Championship. Alina Makhinya was 2013 World champion and 2015 First European Games champion. She acts in the weight category of 69 kg.

Maksym Zhukovsky, “head” of occupational district “administration” reported that a child was wounded in the leg by a piece of a shell in the settlement of Trudovsky at night.
