Main News of Donbas: Makiivka shelling resulted in victims; "DPR" wants to hold «election» in the summer

During March 24, illegal armed groupings shelled the ATO forces' positions in the Donbas 53 times. They opened fire 48 times near Donetsk. According to Oleksandr Motuzyanyk, PA spokesperson on ATO related issues, six Ukrainian servicemen were wounded,  and no one perished in the ATO one.

News from the territory controlled by Ukraine:

The level of salaries and wages is going down on the territory of the Donetsk region excluding the ATO zone. In January, 2016, the average salary of a staff worker was 5,142 Hryvnyas which is 11.8% lower than the previous month. On February 1, the arrears in salary payments in the region were 456.4 mln Hryvnyas.

According to the UNO data, 30,346 people are victims of the conflict in the Donbas. More than 9 thousand have been killed, and more than 21 thousand have been wounded. Moreover, there are about 1000 unidentified bodies in Ukrainian morgues; there are 1.6 mln IDPs registered in Ukraine at present.

News from the occupied territory:

Vladislav Dainego and Denis Pushylin, who represent the illegal «LPR» and «DPR» organizations in Minsk, think that the local election in Donbas should be held by July 2016. Boris Gryzlov, who represents Russia at Minsk talks, thinks that the Donbas election should be arranged in the first half of the year.

Aleksandr Alipov, «first deputy minister of housing and public utilities of  the DPR» is suspected of buying and reselling dry gas which was sold to him at a price that was 162 mln 560 thousand lower than free market price. Alipov was involved in illegal gas trading schemes while he occupied the post of a deputy head of Donetsk regional administration. It isn’t mentioned that Alipov is a «DPR» member in his criminal case.

Occupied Makiivka (the Donetsk region) was shelled on the night of March 23-March 24. Two locals were wounded. 32 flats in 10 houses and a former nursery school building were damaged. 15 private houses were damaged in Kyivsky district (Donetsk), 3 of them are more than 50% destroyed.
