Main News of Donbas: A local woman perished in Avdiivka; 800 school-leavers from the occupied territory will take part in independent testing

Militants shelled the Ukrainian Armed Forces in the ATO zone 70 times during the last 24 hours. The most serious situation is near Avdiivka, according to the ATO Headquarters' press center.

One Ukrainian military perished and 12 were wounded in battles, as Andriy Lysenko, PA spokesperson on ATO related isses.

According to the Ukrainian Ministry of Defense intelligence data two assault groups of the armed forces of the RF have been deployed in the industrial zone of Avdiivka.

Reports from the territory controlled by Ukraine

A woman, born in 1945, perished as a result of the shelling of the Ukrainian territory by militants. She was working in her kitchen garden near her house in Kuibysheva Street 15. The shell expolded in her yard. The woman was wounded at the head and died, as it was reported by Vyacheslav Abroskin, chief of the national police department in the Donetsk region.

The registration prosedure for the pupils who want to take the external outer assessment in 2016 has finished. 11229 people checked in in the Donetsk region,  8685 of them are this year’s school-leavers and 2544 are school-leavers of the previous years. The number of school-leavers of the previous years has grown considerably compared to the previous times, now they comprise  22,7%  of the total number (in 2015 they comprised 15%). The Department of science and eduction of Donetsk state administration informs that 800 pupils who checked in live on the occupied territory. 

 On April 7, in Slovyansk, OSCE donated 15 protection suits for sappers to the State Special Service of the Ministry of Infrastructure, according to a DPTV correspondent.

Reports from the occupied territories

So-called “civic conscioussness lessons” at schools on the occupied territory of the Donetsk region are usually devoted to military and political events in the Donbas. The information is presented to the children from the “DPR” point of view.

Mikhail Tolstykh, leader of “Somaly” grouping, who is known as “Givi”, was wounded in Verkhnetoretske vicinity on April 7. Militant “Chervonets Andriykha” informs about this on his LiveJournal.
