Main News of Donbas: Intensification of hostilities and fake rubles on the occupied territory

Reports from the front

During the last day, April 14-15, militants broke ceasefire 104 times, that is 20% more than during the previous day. Besides, militants tried to assault the positions of the Armed Forces of Ukraine near the settlement of Novotroyitske. Militants got less active in the evening, April 15, according to the ATO Headquarters.

Because of the intensification of shelling, the State Border Guard Service (SBGS) asked civilians not to cross the demarcation line without urgent necessity. Oleh Slobodyan, SBGS chief aide, voiced the address.

On April 14, one Ukrainian military perished and three more were wounded as a result of hostilities in the ATO zone, according to Andriy Lysenko, PA spokesperson on ATO related issues.

News from the territory controlled by Ukraine

President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko had a pelephone conversations with President of France François Hollande and German Chancellor Angela Merkel to coordinate  the positions in respect of introducing the OSCE police mission in the Donbas, as the presidential press service informs.

Every member of an IDP family gets 1.3 thousand hryvnyas a month, on average. This means, about 47% of IDP should economize on food, 33% can satisfy only their most immediate needs and cannot afford necessary clothes or shoes, for example. This data was presented by the press service of the International Organization for Migration (IOM) which conducted the survey in cooperation with Ukrainian Centre for Social Reforms and with financial support of the European Union.

Pavlo Zhebrivsky, head of Donetsk regional military and state administration, arrived in Mariupol to see how a future centre for administrative services is being built.  The  Govermor came to see the progress of the construction which was going on right in front of him. There are several variants of how the building will look like.

News from the occupied territory

Aleksandr Yemelyanenko, so-called “deputy of the people’s council of LPR” was fired by the members of the illegal “LPR”organization. Militants who represent the “ministry of state security” claim that Aleksandr Yemelyanenko had brought a car from the territory of Russian into Luhansk region in May 2015.

Counterfeit money has appeared on the occupied territory. The site of the so-called “central bank of DPR” reports that attempts to pay with counterfeit Russian 1000 and 5000 ruble notes for goods and services have been observed in shopping centres, wholesale stores, chemists’ and petrol stations.
