The Security Service of Ukraine detained contraband goods in the vicinity of Novotroitske
The Security Service of Ukraine detained a vehicle whose driver was trying to smuggle medicine and confectionery (worth 300 thousand UAH) onto the occupied territory in the vicinity of Novotroitske checkpoint. Besides, an illegal cargo of clothes, electric appliances and spare car parts (worth 107 thousand UAH) was detained in the vicinity of Maryinka checkpoint.
The prosecutor of the Luhansk region has a new deputy
Oleh Hladkykh was appointed deputy prosecutor of the Luhansk region on December 22. He was born in the Kharkiv region on October 3, 1981. He used to work as an investigating officer's assistant, a department prosecutor, a deputy inter-disctrict prosecutor, a prosecutor of Zachepilivsky district of the Kharkiv region. He also was the prosecutor of Frunze district in Kharkiv. In 2014-2015 he was the first deputy prosecutor of the Dnipropetrovsk region. He is also an honorary president of “Kolos” Football Club (Zachepilivka, the Kharkiv region).
623 thousand internally displaced persons were registered in the Donetsk region
Pavlo Zhebrivsky told about the results of his work with internally displaced persons in 2015 at his end-of year press conference. 623,3 thousand internally displaced persons (529 thousand families) were registered by December 1, 2015. They include 113,1 thousand working age people, 56,4 thousand children, 25,9 thousand disabled persons and 427,9 thousand retired people. 138,4 thousand people (111,8 thousand families) were registered during the last six months of 2015, they include 29.3 thousand working age people, 14,8 thousand children, 5 thousand disabled persons and 89.3 thousand retired people.
Artem monument in Svyatohirsk will not be demolished accordning to the Decommunization Bill
The total amount of the Donetsk region localities which are to be renamed according to the Decommunization Bill is 56. There has beeen a decision to rename 39 of them, suggestions about renaming 32 localities have been submitted to Verkhovna Rada. November 21 was the last term for the local councils to fulfil the Bill “On conviction of Communist and National Socialist (Nazi) totalitarian regimes in Ukraine and the prohibition of their propaganda”. The renaming should take place according to the decision of village and settlements heads. Then these decisions are to be approved by the head of the Regional State Administration. The monument to Artem in the town of Svyatohirsk will not be demolished as it is considered to be an example of monumntalist art which is of the state importance.
