Police started investigation of 3 cases of unlawful Russian flag flying on administarion buildings in Lugansk

Law enforcement started the investigation of 3 cases of unsanctioned Russian flag flying on administrative buildings in Lugansk.

This information was provided to Ukrainski Noviny by Ministry of Interior Affairs Chief Administration Press Secretary Tetiana Pogukai.

According to her on  the 1st -2nd of March Russian flags were flown on Municipal and Regional Council buildings and on the Lenin`s monument. 

Moreover, there were cases of Ukrainian flags destruction by the protesters.

Police started investigation of these cases according to Article 296, paragraph 4 of the Criminal Code (hooliganism). These acts are investigated under one case.

Svoboda Party Lugansk Regional Organization is asking Security Service of Ukraine in Lugansk Region to investigate the legitimacy of Russian flag flying during the protests against the new government in Lugansk down town.

On the 1st of March about 3 thousand people were protesting against new government in Lugansk down town.
Earlier the Security Service of Ukraine established a hot line to receive information about separatism actions on Lugansk Region territories.
