Main news of Donbas: Shelling may leave Donetsk without water; Slovyansk power plant was stopIt was not quiet in the ATO zone in the daytime and at night on May 24.

The ATO press center states that the ceasefire is over in Mariupol direction. The criminals were shelling Shyrokyne non-stop from mortars, self-propelled artillery, grenade launchers, and small guns. There was a battle in the vicinity of Hnutove, however, it did not lasted for a long time. Being met with heavy fire, the criminals retreated. During the day, one serviceman perished and five were wounded. This information was presented by Andriy Lysenko, ATO spokesman of the Presidential Administration.

Slovyansk electric power plant was stopped on May 25, 2015. According to the information of “Donbasenergo” press center, the financial situation is critical. The total debt of “Energomarket”, a state enterprise to “Donbasenergo” has reached 1.5 billion UAH.

There was no electricity and mobile connection in Avdiivka on May 25. Illa Kyva,  Deputy Chief of the Main Department of the Ukrainian Interior Ministry, informed about that. Avdiivka Coke Chemical Plant resumed its work after intensive shelling, More than 40 direct hits at the territory of the plant had been registered, and the plant stopped working.

The occupied territory

Seven shells hit the Donetsk water filtration station on May 24. The station workers spent the whole night in the bomb shelter. The pumping station was shelled too. In spite of sporadic shelling, repairmen did their best to restore damage water pipes of the Severskiy Donets-Donbas Canal in the vicinity of Horlivka. The repair work is in progress.

Kyivsky district of Donetsk was shelled on May 25. The shells hit the territory of Tochmash Plant and children  out-patient clinic.

In occupied Stakhaniv (the Luhansk region) people are queuing, waiting for payments. They are boiling over. They say they were deceived: allowances for May were promised, but the majority got only some money for December.
