Main news of Donbas: Citizens wounded as a result of shelling in occupied cities

Andriy Lysenko, spokesman of the Administration of the President of Ukraine on ATO related issues, reports that on May25 one Ukrainian military perished and twelve were wounded in the ATO zone.

Perto Poroshenko, President of Ukraine appointed 7 heads of Civil Military Administrations, which appeared in the towns of  Krasnogorivka, Avdiivka, Uhledar and Maryinsky district (the Donetsk region), and Krymske, Trekhyzbenka, Lopaskyne, Horikhove-Donetske, Novotoshkyvske, Zhelobok, Troitske and Novozvanivka (the Luhansk region). 

On May 26, a 69-year-old local inhabitant got wounded by a piece of a shell near his house today when the militants were shelling Avdiivka.

On May 26, bombardment of occupied Horlivka resumed after a short ceasefire. 5-6 explosions were heard in its western districts in the evening. “The shelling happened at about 7 p.m. Two people, a man and an 11-year-old child were killed,” reports “Ministry of Emergency Situations” of  “ the Donetsk People’s Republic” illegal organization. A woman got wounded as well and two children, who were not seriously injured, were pulled safely from under the debris.

By the morning of May 26, 9 electrical substations remain cut off. 176 subscribers are still without electric power.

A gas pipe was damaged by a shell in Vilkhova village (the Luhansk region), as a result, nine villages (Vilkhova, Nyzhnya Vilkhova, Verkhnya Vilkhova, Herasymivka, Yuhanivka, Kamyshne, Stepne, Shyroke, Kolesnykivka) are cut off from gas supply.  Stanytsia Luhanska, the district centre, was under the militants’ fire as well. The militants shot a medical car UAZ-“tablet”, which belongs to the Armed Forces of Ukraine. A medical vehicle with two militaries was going from the village of Komyshne to the village of Syze when it came under the machine gun fire. As a result, a 46-year-old  military was killed, another one was seriously wounded.  Now he is in hospital.

Militants also shelled an outside Ukrainian checkpoint near the village of Rodina from automatic launchers. They were shooting from occupied Pervomaisk . Grenade fragments wounded four servicemen of the “Aidar” battalion. They were transported to a Severodonetsk hospital.

The shells damaged the main aqueduct which supplies a part of occupied Luhansk with water. Half of the city is left without water now. During this week it has been for the third time that the aqueduct  is damaged by separatists, and the territories occupied by  them do not have water supply.
