Main news of Donbas for February 16-17: “Grad” attacks; Grenade explosion in a bus; Parliamentary hearings

Reports from the front:

There were 60 attacks on ATO positions in the Donbas in the last 24 hours. ATO Headquarters press service reports that militants used “Grad-21” MRLS when they were firing at Ukrainian strongholds in Pervomayske and Nivelske from occupied Staromykhaylivka (the Donetsk region).

Two Ukrainian servicemen were wounded in the last 24 hours, no one perished, according to the briefing report of Andriy Lysenko, Presidential Administration sprokesperson on ATO related issues.

Main Department of National Police in the Donetsk region informs that a young man died in Maryinka as a result of an explosion.

News from the territory which is controlled by the Ukrainian government:

Parliamentary hearings devoted to observing the rights of IDPs', occupied territories and ATO zone residents' took place in Verkhovna Rada on February 17. There was a long queue of those who wanted to take part in the hearings outside the Parliament.

Another court hearing in the case of Oleksandr Ruzhansky took place on February 16. Anatoliy Tarasenko, the suspect's attorney insisted on removing the judge who, according to the defense opinion, made an unjust decision to prolong Ruzhansky's detaimenent for 60 days more as she was guided by personal motifs.

Mariupol residents who are 16 years old can get new plastic passports. 20 young people got them in Zhovtnevy district council on February 16. Volodymyr Kochegarov, head of passport department, says that 70 Mariupol residents have already got new passports.
 
News from the occupied territory:

Aleksandr Khodakovsky, a militant and the so-called “secretary of DPR security council” is ready to resign if city departments of “Donbas patriotic forces” organization which is headed by him are closed. The information was posted in his Livejournal blog.

A grenade was thrown into a bus#6 at Plekhanove bus station in occupied Makiivka (the Donetsk region) on February 17.  According to the witnesses' reports, one man died, another one was still alive when the ambulance arrived.

The first issue of a children's magazine “Little polite men” was presented in occupied Luhansk. According to the words of Sergey Kolesnikov who calls himself “editor-in-chief”, the main idea of the magazine is “spiritual and patriotic upbringing” of young generation.
