Main news of Donbas: A journalist released from militants’ captivity; Money for children’s food is stolen on occupied terirotires

ATO press service reports that MRLS BM-21 “Grad” was used by militants against the Ukrainian Armed Forces at 5.15 a.m. on March 3. The shelling was conducted from Donetsk in the direction of Nivelske and from Staromykhailivka in the direction of Krasnohorivka. Not less than 10 shells were luanched in each case.



Power supply was restored in the town of Krasnohorivka, which is situated on the forntline, after a four-months’ break. A new power line had to be erected four kilometres away from the frontline to protect it from militants.

Serhiy Zhadan, a Ukrainian poet and writed presented in Mariupol his new project “Rozdilovi” (“Dividing”) which combines poetry, music and video.

Ukrainian journalist Mariya Varfolomiyiva was released from “LPR” captivity which lasted for more than a year. President Petro Poroshenko informed about that on his Twitter. Mariya was exchanged for a woman and a Russian citizen. Ukrainian President pardoned the Russian who was exchanged. “LPR” representatives accused Mariya of espionage; they say she took pictures of buildings in Luhansk. Using her private pictures on the Internet, they made a conclusion that she was an active member of “The Right Sector”.



According to Iryna Heraschenko, President’s commissioner on peaceful settlement in the Donbas, Mariya needs rehabilitation, so she was sent to Kyiv.

Reports from the occupied territory

Directors of kindergartens are cashing in on food for children in occupied towns of the Donetsk regions, as illegal “DPR” grouping head Aleksandr Zakharchenko claimed. According to the report of “DPR” member Yana Chepikova, mass violations in the sphere of feeding children where fixed in kindergartens and primary schools. Children get less food for 674 thousand rubles, and purchasing prices were 75 thousand rubles higher than they shoud be.
