The first heating point opened in Kirova Square in Mariupol, the Donetsk region , on January 5. It is working 24 hours a day. All visitors are offered hot tea and biscuits. Two representatives of the State Emergency Service are working in it and visitors may ask them for help.
An ex-military disappeared near Mariupol
Volodymyr Cherepy, a 55-year-old deputy Chief of Donetsk regional civil defense training center, disappeared near Mariupol. It happened on New Year eve, on December 27, when he was going to the village of Vodyane. On the way back, he called his wife and informed her that he had gone through three checkpoints. After that, he disappeared.

An ambulance doctor was attacked in Mariupol
A local resident pounced on an ambulance doctor. On January 4, the ambulance went on a call to Illichevskiy district. The doctor examined a 25-year-old woman, who complained of stomach ache, and decided to take her to hospital. One of the woman’s guests wanted to accompany her. On the way to hospital, he asked the driver to stop the car. When the car stopped, he pounced on the doctor demanding anesthesia. The assaulter broke the doctor’s nose and finger.
