Reports from the front:
There were 45 attacks of illegal armed formations on the positions of ATO forces in the Donbas on February 9. The militants used small arms, mortars and grenade launchers. They fired at Ukrainian positions in the vicinity of Maryinka, Zaitseve, Mayorsk and Donetsk Airport. According to the information provided by Heorhiy Tuka, Stanytsya Luhanska was also shelled and a gas pipeline was damaged in the settlement of Lobacheve. Andriy Lysenko, ATO spokesperson, informed that there were no casualties among Ukrainian servicemen on February 9.
News from the territory which is controlled by the Ukrainian Government:
A Volkswagen Transporter bus hit a landmine at Novomykhailivka checkpoint in the morning of February 10. The vehicle was trying to bypass a queue of cars and went along the side of the road ignoring the signs warning about mines. Three people died as a result.
Representatives of the International Red Cross Committee helped with the remains of the bodies of the people perished.
253 people have died of flu or ARVI (including 3 children under 17 years old) in Ukraine since the beginning of the epidemic season (since 28.09.2015). The Ministry of Healthcare reports that only one third of those who died addressed doctors at an early stage of the disease and all of those who died had ignored flu shots.
125 665 people have been vaccinated since the beginning of the epidemic season. This is 0,32% of the population.
Reports from the occupied territory:
A ciivilian was killed in Oleksandrivka shelling. This information was posted of social networks by the locals. The settlement borders on Petrovsky district of occupied Donetsk. It is also reported that a gas pipeline was damaged in Petrovsky district and shells damaged some roofs of houses.
The illegal “LPR” faction “accredited” a Chech NGO “People in Need” which supplies humanitarian aid to the occupied territory. “People in need” became the only organization which asked for the “LPR” faction “accreditation”. Currently, the International Red Cross Committee and the UN mission help people on the occupied territory of the Luhansk region.
The illegal “DPR” faction banned broadcasting of Ukrainian children's and sports channels on its territory “to avoid spreading extremist materials and information”. Besides central Ukrainian TV channles, such children's and sports ones as Football 1, Football 2, Mega, Pixel, Plusplus, M1, M2, Rumusic, Esculap, Viasat Explorer and many others are on the list.
Aleksandr Rusakov, the so-called “minister of building and housing and utilities sector” and Makswell Sammy, director of “League-Stroyservice” company were detained in occupied Luhansk on February 10. They are accused of improper use of big sums of money within the framework of “The programme of restoring 100 houses”.
